Colfosco
Colfosco (in Ladin Calfosch – German Kolfuschg) is a village in Alta Badia at 1,645 m above sea level. The area is part of the community of Corvara with the Sella Mountain Massif in the backdrop. Here you are in close proximity to the Puez-Odle Nature Park, a significant example of the preservation of the landscape and natural beauties.
Colfosco is a very popular holiday destination in summer and winter. The verdant landscape is ideal for excursions, hikes and other activities in close contact with nature. During the winter season, lots of snow sport fans come here to enjoy the exclusive fun on the state-of-the-art ski slopes in Alta Badia.
However, Colfosco also offers culture! Along the road towards Gardena Pass you can visit the Parish Church of San Vigilio. Inside the church you can admire an altar dating back to the 19th century constructed by Johann Valentin di Badia, and a representation of Mother Mary dating back to the 18th century.
